Pacific Dining Room

Our Pacific Dining Room is perfectly positioned right on top of the Pacific Ocean.

The Pacific Dining Room situated right on top of the Pacific Ocean is an intimate and unique space that is the only private dining room that overlooks the breath-taking Bondi Beach. With its own private bar and the ever-changing horizon, it’s the perfect backdrop to host any celebration, corporate event, brand and product launch, team building session, breakfast, brunch or media event.

Private Dining Above Bondi Beach

If you are looking for a private dining venue that will make your guests feel genuinely special, the Pacific Dining Room offers an experience unlike anywhere else. Set at the top of Icebergs, the Pacific Dining Room is the only private dining room in Bondi that looks directly across the beach and out over the ocean.
It is intimate, entirely separate from the main restaurant, and comes with its own bar and an ever-changing horizon.

The room suits a long lunch as easily as a board meeting: brand and product launches, media events, team gatherings, breakfasts and milestone celebrations all find their scale here. What doesn’t change is the food, the service and the sense of place that Icebergs is known for.

A room that makes guests feel genuinely looked after, in a setting that exists nowhere else in Sydney.

A Space Entirely Your Own

The Pacific Dining Room can be hired exclusively. This is a private space with its own bar and 180-degree views of the gorgeous Bondi Beach and Pacific Ocean.

The maximum we can seat is 40 guests in this space on scattered tables of 4 – 8 guests. We can seat a maximum of 26 guests on one long table. This is a seated space only.

From Breakfast Meetings to Evening Celebrations

The room takes on a different character throughout the day. Morning light across the water makes it an inspiring setting for breakfast events, board meetings and team gatherings. Later in the day, the changing view and private bar create a memorable backdrop for long lunches, dinners, engagement parties and other celebrations.

Its expansive outlook gives the room a natural alfresco feel, keeping guests connected to the beach, sky and water while enjoying the comfort and privacy of their own space. Menus come from the same Italian kitchen that has shaped Icebergs for more than two decades, with set feasting menus featuring antipasti to share, individual mains, sides for the table and wines chosen to complement the food.

FAQs

The Pacific Dining Room seats up to 26 on one long table, or up to 40 across separate tables of four to eight. It is a seated space. We work the layout through with you in advance, shaped by your numbers and how you want the room to run.

Yes. Exclusive hire of the Pacific Dining Room works on a minimum spend, tiered by season and day of the week, with summer weekends the peak. All food and beverage counts towards it. A $1,000 hire fee applies, and a 10% service charge is added to the final bill. We confirm the figure for your date before anything is held.

Speeches, presentations and product launches all work beautifully in this space, with simple AV available for presentations. Exclusive use means the room reads as yours: your branding, your product, and the ocean behind it. Few rooms in Sydney give a brand a setting this complete without a build. Our venue event managers are available to assist you and your suppliers with all details.

All beverages are charged on consumption, rather than a traditional beverage package. We work with you on a selection and a service flow that suits the event and maximises your minimum spend. Our Beverage Director and sommelier team are available for recommendations, so the selection is perfectly suited to your occasion and thoughtfully paced from arrival through to the close of service.

Yes. The feasting menus are built for the table rather than plated to order, so dietaries are worked into the menu itself ahead of the day rather than handled as an exception in the middle of service. We cater to almost all dietaries and encourage clients to share these in advance when confirming numbers, and the kitchen will shape the menu to accommodate, ensuring all guests are well catered for.

For celebrations, we offer signature cakes to order. You are also welcome to bring your own, with a cakeage fee of $6.50 per person, and we will take care of the presentation and service.

Following your enquiry, we place a hold on your date and send through a proposal. To confirm, we ask for a signed booking form and a deposit, at which point the date is secured and closed to other enquiries. Our events team is available to assist with planning. Key dates book well in advance.

Sooner than you would book a table in our main dining room. The room takes one party at a time, so the calendar is thinner than it looks, and the months either side of Christmas go first. Weddings and end-of-year functions are worth booking in advance, while a weekday breakfast or brunch can usually be arranged at shorter notice, when the room is quiet and the light is still coming up off the water.

For the length of the booking rather than for a set turn at a table, which is the difference between a private room and a good table in a full restaurant. Service stays close and unhurried and the function keeps its own pace, so a birthday that stretches well past dessert and a client dinner that finishes cleanly are both possible in the same room.
